BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - Former Flyin' Frogs Virgil Hodge and Delwayne Delaney placed first overall in both the 100 and 200 meters this past weekend at the St. Kitts National Track & Field Championship and Olympic Qualifier.

Hodge, who will represent St. Kitts in both events at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, clocked a time of 11.39 in the 100 meters to place first overall at the newly built Silver Jubilee Stadium. In the 200 meters, the six-time All-American crossed the finish line in 22.87 seconds to win the event.

Delaney captured the top-spot in the 200 meters by clocking a time of 21.17 seconds. In the 100 meters, the former TCU All-American blazed to a first-place finish by recording a time of 10.37 seconds. By winning both events Delaney also qualified for the 2008 Olympics.

At the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Columbus, Ohio, Matthew Love finished in ninth-place in the men's 400 meters. Love, a resident of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, clocked a time of 47.48 to qualify for the finals with the ninth-fastest time in preliminary action.
