CALI, Columbia - Former TCU sprinter Virgil Hodge qualified for the finals in the women's 200 meters by recording the sixth-fastest time on Saturday at the 21st Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships.

Hodge, a six-time All-American, posted a time of 23.46 seconds to qualify for Sunday's final. In the 100 meters, the St. Kitts native finished fifth overall in the event with a time of 11.44 seconds.

At the Canadian Olympic trials, TCU sprinter Justyn Warner clocked a time of 10.54 seconds in the semifinals of the men's 100 meters to finish third in his heat and ninth overall, but failed to make the finals on Saturday. The 2008 All-American qualified for semifinal action by crossing the finish line in 10.49 seconds in preliminary competition in Windsor, Ontario.
