Outlook
A non-scholarship player, Elizabeth Bateman will continue to work on her collegiate game in 2002. She will be looking to earn more playing time in her second campaign. A player who works extremely hard, Bateman is willing to learn and to push herself to become a better athlete. She will be called on in game situations to use her height to block attacks. Physically, she needs to continue to get stronger.

2001 (Freshman)
Bateman saw action in only one game in her first season as a Frog. She served the final three points of the first game against Sam Houston State to help the Frogs capture the 3-0 win.

High School
Bateman was a four-year member of the Nolan Catholic High School volleyball team, playing varsity her final three seasons. The Lady Vikings were TAPPS 5A District 1 and regional champions, as well as state semi-finalists. Bateman was named to the TAPPS 5A-1 First Team All-District, as well as being named District Setter of the Year. She was also named to the TAPPS First Team All-State All-Star Team in June 2001. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram placed her on their Private School First Team All-Area. Bateman also played club volleyball during high school. Bateman was an honors student during high school, being named to the "High Honors" honor roll and being inducted into National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society. She was also involved in a variety of community service activities including tutoring, volunteering with Special Olympics and at the Fort Worth Public Library.

Born on June 21, 1983, Elizabeth Bateman is the daughter of Kenneth and Cathleen Bateman. She is a pre-major at TCU.
