Fort Worth, Texas - In their second match of the weekend, the TCU volleyball team swept the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a match that lasted barely over an hour. They did so with a team attack percentage of .408, the second highest in program history. In addition to that, this win brings their streak to eight. It was a total team effort, with every single Horned Frog on the roster contributing.

The first game, the Horned Frogs were on fire, racking up 18 kills with only one error in 23 total attempts, giving them a whopping .739 hitting percentage. Dominika Szabo and Emily Allen were 4-4 each, while Ellen Rehme was 5-7. The game ended 30-9.

The second game, the Lady Golden Lions fought back, returning spikes and tips with sheer determination and heart. Every single Frog added stats next to their name this afternoon, with Jessica Fleming, Anna Vaughn, Skye Tacker, Julie Van't Wout, Calli Corley, and Hayley Harmon adding their expertise to the mix of regulars. The game ended 30-15.

The Lady Golden Lions were still determined to fight, and this mindset brought about their best game, with their highest hitting percentage for the match. The Frogs showed to be too much for Pine Bluff to overcome, however, and the game ended 30-20.

"I am pleased that everyone played hard and came out tough today. The whole team as a collective played hard, everyone put in their full game play," said Coach Prentice Lewis. "We got some good experience in, especially for Skye; it was key that she got to put some quality time into running the offense."

Tonight, the Frogs take on Arkansas State, who is also 2-0 in the tournament, 8-2 overall. Play starts at 7:30 p.m. following a match between Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Texas Pan-American. Earlier today, Texas Pan-Am fell to Arkansas State in three.
