Win Streak Continues for the Frogs
Sept. 14, 2004
SHREVEPORT, La. - The TCU Horned Frogs won their sixth match in a row today when they defeated the home team, Centenary, in a three-game sweep. It was again a team effort, as several Frogs contributed to the win 30-26, 30-21, 30-19.
Centenary looked much improved on their last year's performance against the Frogs, keeping the scores tight up to 20 - thereafter, however, the Frogs capitalized on the Ladies' errors, pulling out to a 29-23 lead. The Ladies delayed TCU's win, though, gaining to 29-26 before the Frogs managed their final game point.
Although the second game belonged to the Frogs, the Ladies again did not quit, pegging away at the score even when the TCU had only two more points to win. The Ladies gained on the Purple and White, but a reception error by the Ladies ended the game 30-21 for the Frogs.
The Frogs quickly won the third match 30-19, with Agi Nemeth, Brandy Gore, and Hayley Harmon coming in for big contributions.
The home opener for the Frogs begins Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., versus Arkansas-Little Rock at the University Rec Center. The TCU adidas Invitational continues Saturday for the Frogs at 1 and 7 p.m.
