FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs re-familiarized themselves with the win column today in the 10:30 a.m. match against Grambling State. The Frogs won in four games, 30-18, 30-23, 22-30, 30-24.

Junior Hayley Harmon stepped up her play this weekend, hitting 16 kills in a .314 attack performance. Senior Ellen Rehme led with 17 kills and freshman Talaya Whitfield picked up 15 digs. The team combined for 10.5 blocks, with freshman LeMeita Smith rejecting five on her own.

The first two games went easily to the Frogs, but the third game was a whole other story, with the Grambling State Tigers showing impressive stubbornness and fight. Although the stats look nearly identical for the two teams in the third game, the Tigers outplayed the Frogs 30-24. TCU picked it up in the fourth game; Rehme finished the match with two consecutive service aces, increasing the team total to 14, tying for fifth in program history. Sophomore Emily Allen and Whitfield tallied four aces apiece.

The 4 p.m. match admittance is free with a valid ticket for the 6 p.m. TCU-USF football game. All matches can be followed via Gametracker on the website.
