TCU Locks Into C-USA Tournament

Fort Worth, Texas - In a dominating team effort, the TCU Horned Frogs swept the visiting East Carolina Pirates 30-22, 30-22, 30-14, hitting .450 combined. The conference office announced this morning that the Frogs (19-12, 5-8 C-USA), ranked tenth, will go to New Orleans to compete in the Conference USA tournament.

The fans showed up to support the volleyball team tonight; the Horned Frogs always feed off the excitement of their crowd, and tonight was no different as they outdid the Pirates at every turn.

The Horned Frogs had an outstanding team outing, with all six hitters attacking over .400; freshman middle blocker Emily Allen shined tonight with 14 kills, while junior Ellen Rehme cranked out 15 kills and junior Dominika Szabo added 13. Senior setter Tori Barlow had a great performance in her final home match with 47 assists along with nine digs.

Sarah Vick hit nine kills while Erica Wilson added eight for the Pirates. Jessica Vick picked up seven digs for the team.

The Frogs prepare for next weekend's conference tournament, entering with the most wins ever by a TCU volleyball team and with the first winning season ever in program history. The Pirates end their season 10-21, 1-12 in C-USA.
