Cross Country Concludes Big 12 Championship

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The TCU men's and women's cross country teams completed action at the Big 12 Championship on Saturday at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas.

The men's team finished ninth in the 8K race, while the women's team placed 10th in the 6K event. 

TCU had a total of 10 freshman compete at the conference meet.

Four student-athletes on the men's side recorded season-bests on Saturday. Freshman Matthew Brown was the team's best finisher with a time of 26:40.0, improving upon his previous mark by 2.2 seconds. Freshman Dylan Larkin shattered his previous-best by 26.2 seconds, clocking in at 27:03.4.Senior Taylor Moult finished third among Horned Frogs at 27:18.4, 28.6 seconds better than his time at the Chile Pepper Festival almost a month ago. Freshman Robbie Lacomble had the biggest leap, a mark of 1:11.0 seconds, as he finished the 8K at 28:11.8.

The other Frogs on the men's side who competed include: sophomore Greg May (27:58.9), freshman Dillon Smith (28:01.8) and freshman Aaron Reichner (28:17.7).

On the women's side, freshman Arin Rice led the way for TCU with a time of 22:24.7. Freshman Bailey Sullivan finished less than a second behind Rice, with a mark of 22:25.2. Fellow freshman Anna Cozart paced closely behind, clocking in at 23:03.0.

Freshman Dominique Tilly and junior Breanne Ball finished nearly two seconds apart, recording times of 23:39.8 and 23:41.7, respectively. Freshman Nicole Hicks posted a mark of 24:05.2.
