Cross Country Ready For Chile Pepper Festival

FORT WORTH -- The TCU cross country team will compete at the 28th annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the University of Arkansas cross country course.

The men's squad will kick things off with the 8,000-meter race at 9:45 a.m., while the women will follow at 10:20 a.m. with the 6,000-meter race. The award ceremony will take place at 11:10 a.m.

The women's team will return to action after two productive meets. The Horned Frogs took home second at the Ken Garland Invitational on Sept. 17 and placed sixth at the Texas A&M Invitational. The women's team was currently ranked 10th in the most recent U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Central regional ranking.

TCU will be competing against 64 other programs in the collegiate division, the most in meet history.
