FORT WORTH - TCU's cross country teams head to Arkansas to take part in the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday. The meet is the Horned Frogs' final competition prior to the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 27. The men's 10K starts at 9:45 a.m. while the women's 6K begins at 10:30 a.m.

TCU will see many Big 12 counterparts in Fayetteville as they will be joined by Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. The Horned Frogs women will also get a chance to compete about high-ranking foes such as South Central No. 1 Arkansas and Metroplex rivals, South Central No. 3 SMU. Altogether, 12 of the 15 ranked women's squads in the USTFCCCA South Central Region rankings will compete.

The TCU women will run seniors Katie Dalton, Agnes Kemboi and Tricia Terry, junior Shannon Speir, sophomores Carlie Brittan and Rachel Vanlandingham and freshmen Courtney Cochran, Ashley Eckhoff, Maggie Escobar, Genna McCarthy and Laura Orlie.

The TCU men will run senior Dave Emerson, junior Jake Rossmango and sophomores Kevin Case, Andy Kramer, Taylor Moult, Preston Newsome and Taylor Moult.

Competing at Arkansas is also crucial, as the same course will host the South Central Regional on Nov. 9 with trips to the NCAA Championships on the line.
