FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Six Horned Frogs will look to earn a spot at nationals as they compete at the NCAA South Central Region Championship on Friday, Nov. 11, at Agri Park in Fayetteville, Ark.

The women’s 6,000-meter race will kick off at 11 a.m. CT. Among those competing for TCU will be sophomore Anna Cozart, freshman Kelly Fairchild, sophomore Brenley Goertzen, junior Nicole Hicks and freshmen Kirsten Johnston and Lindsay Tomaini.

Goertzen will be entering the race with incredible momentum as she most recently earned bronze at the Big 12 Cross Country Championship. Her 6K time of 20:35.1 ranks fourth in TCU history since 2000.

TCU ranks seventh in the region heading into the event and will compete against top-ranked Arkansas, SMU, Baylor, Rice, Texas and Texas A&M, among others.

The NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, at Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. The top two teams from each regional earn automatic bids to the event, and the top four runners not associated with qualifying teams will advance as individuals. Additional teams and individuals are chosen through an at-large selection process.
