Festus Kigen
On making it to the NCAA's...
"It means a lot to me that I will be able to run with some of the best guys in the nation. In terms of cross country, I would like to figure out where I stand in the nation."

His goals for the weekend...
"I was really excited when I knew that I was going to compete at the NCAA's. My goal for the weekend is to do my best."

On bringing TCU back to the NCAA's...
"I am really glad that I can bring TCU back to the national championship stage after not having a runner qualify last fall."

Distance Coach Shawn Winget
On Festus...
"Festus is a good kid and he works hard. He doesn't expect any special treatment and deserves everything he gets. He definitely makes my job a lot easier. "

His goals for Festus...
"Our goal is to finish top-30 and be an All-American. Anything else would be icing on the cake. If Festus is able to finish higher then that will help in the future."

On having a runner make it to the NCAA's...
"This is what its all about and should light a fire under the rest of the kids to be able to compete at nationals. It's a building block and one that all of us should strive for and expect as a team."
