Made the third most appearances on the mound this season with 22... also started two games... ranked fifth on the squad with 43 innings pitched... posted a 2.51 ERA and racked up 40 strikeouts and just 16 walks... held opponents to a .223 batting average... team posted a 13-9 record in games he pitched and a 1-1 record in games he started... held opponents scoreless in 14 of 20 relief outings... allowed just two of his 11 inherited runners to score... tossed three innings and struck out three in his season debut on Feb. 16 against Jacksonville... allowed two runs on a n hit and a walk in 2/3 of an inning at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi... bounced back with four straight scoreless outings spanning 9 2/3 innings... streak started with two innings against UT Arlington (Feb. 25)... fanned a season-high five batters in 2 2/3 innings against Houston to earn the victory... gave up five hits and struck out two in four innings of work against Michigan State (March 8)... fanned two of the three batters he faced against Dartmouth (March 14)... took the loss at Oklahoma as the Sooners scored three runs on five hits in two innings on March 18... struck out three against Texas Tech (March 23)... dropped to 1-2 on the season after giving up a run on two hits in three innings of work at Oklahoma State (March 29)... first start of the season came on April 5 against West Virginia... allowed a run on three hits in 4 1/3 innings... took the loss in a start at Kansas on April 12 and allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings... returned to the bullpen for the remainder of the season.. retired three of the four batters he faced over two games at Texas (April 18-19)... tossed four innings of relief and gave up a run on four hits against Cal State Northridge to pick up his lone save of the season on April 25... allowed four unearned runs in two innings against Kansas State on May 4... did not allow a run in his last five outings spanning 4 1/3 innings... tossed a scoreless inning against Oklahoma (May 11) and at Baylor (May 17)... recorded two outs in the 22-inning game against Sam Houston State (May 31)... recorded four outs against Pepperdine on June 8... struck out the lone batter he faced against Ole Miss (Jun 19) in the College World Series.

Made two starts as part of 22 appearances... posted a 7-4 record to go along with a team-leading five saves... recorded a 2.66 ERA in 40 2/3 innings... tallied 37 strikeouts and issued just 10 walks... held opponents to a .057 batting average against... team posted a 1-1 record in the games he started... TCU was 12-10 in the games he pitched... held opponents scoreless in 15 of 20 relief outings... allowed just six of 24 inherited runners to score... made his collegiate debut on Feb. 15 at Ole Miss... pitched two scoreless innings against the Rebels... made his first collegiate start on Feb. 24 against Cal State Fullerton... was touched for five runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings... pitched four scoreless innings at Jacksonville (March 3) in his final start of the season... earned his first career win in the contest... made a strong return to the bullpen, not allowing an earned run over his next 13 innings pitched spanning eight appearances... retired all four batters he faced against Pacific on March 10 to improve to 2-1... collected his third win of the year against Northwestern State (March 13)... struck out three in 1 1/3 innings... pitched a scoreless inning over two appearances against Kansas (March 16-17)... earned his first save of the year, retiring all six batters he faced against UT Arlington on March 19... took the loss on March 22 at Oklahoma after allowing an unearned run in 1/3 of an inning... struck out four in a two-inning stint against Dallas Baptist on March 26... took the loss after allowing two runs on two hits in 2/3 of an inning at Texas Tech on March 31... twirled 3 1/3 scoreless inning against San Francisco on April 7... struck out both batters he faced against Oklahoma State to earn his second save of the year on April 12... fanned two more in 1 1/3 innings against the Cowboys on April 14 to improve to 4-3... took the loss against Baylor on April 19 after giving up a run in an inning of work... struck out five in 2 2/3 scoreless innings against Baylor on April 20 to push his record to 5-4... tallied a save in each of his next three outings: at Kansas State (April 28) and at USC (May 2 and 4)... his save on May 4 was a two-inning stint against the Trojans... tossed a season-high 6 2/3 innings of one-run baseball at West Virginia (May 12) to earn his sixth win of the season... tied his career high with five strikeouts in the game... picked up his final win of the season on May 17 against Texas with 1 1/3 scoreless innings... was touched for three runs in two innings against Kansas (May 25) at the Big 12 Championships.

Earned two varsity letters at Caramel Catholic High School... drafted in the 32nd round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers... named a 2012 Louisville Slugger first-team All-American... also tabbed by Collegiate Baseball as one of 18 Elite High School Players... was selected as the conference Player of the Year as a senior... earned Pitcher and Player of the Year honors from his teammates... named first-team all-area and garnered an all-state special mention as a senior... had a 7-1 record in 41 innings... allowed just 13 hits and struck out 71.
