2004 (Junior): Made 12 appearances this season out of the bullpen... compiled a 7.89 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched... struck out 16 batters and walked only nine... made first appearance against Dallas Baptist on Feb. 5... pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball... pitched a scoreless inning against College World Series qualifier Arizona on March 11... earned a save against Memphis on March 19... pitched three innings, allowing one run on four hits and struck out two... took a ball off the arm against Houston on March 27, forcing him to miss a month of action... struggled in his first outing against Louisville on April 30... gave up five runs (four earned) in two innings of work... had another rough outing against UAB on May 8... allowed five runs in 3.2 innings... rebounded with a dominating four inning performance against East Carolina on May 14... didn't allow a run and struck out a season-high three batters... made one appearance in the C-USA Tournament against Houston on May 29 and also against Youngstown State on June 5 in the NCAA Regionals.

High School: Played three years of baseball at Aledo High School... as a junior, he was a first-team unanimous pick for all-district accolades as a pitcher... as a senior, he earned all-state status on the strength of a 10-2 season that included a no-hitter.
