Made six appearances in relief as a true freshman... finished the season with a 9.00 ERA in seven innings pitched... team had a 5-1 record in games he pitched... didn't allow any of his four inherited runners to score... held opponents scoreless in two of six appearances... made his collegiate debut on March 3 at Jacksonville with a scoreless inning of work... walked the lone batter he faced against Pacific on March 10... was touched for three runs (two earned) on four hits in 1 2/3 innings of work against Northwestern State on March 13... made his fourth appearance against UT Pan American on April 2... also saw action against UT Arlington on April 16... had his best outing of the season at the Big 12 Championships against West Virginia on May 24... allowed three unearned run on one hit and struck out one in 3 1/3 innings of work.
