Made a career-high 31 appearances, all out of the bullpen... posted a 3-1 record to go along with a school record 15 saves... had a 0.79 ERA in 45 1/3 innings pitched... tallied a career-high 70 strikeouts and issued just 14 walks... team was 26-5 in games he pitched... allowed a run in just four of his 31 appearances... just eight of his 28 inherited runners scored... made his season debut with 1 1/3 scoreless innings against Jacksonville on Feb. 16... earned his first win of the season on Feb. 22 against TAMU-Corpus Christi... fanned one and gave up a hit in 1 1/3 innings... retired all five batters he faced against Houston (March 2) to earn his first save of the season... tied a season-high with four innings of work against Dallas Baptist on March 4... fanned a career-high six batters and allowed just two base runners... struck out the side around a base hit in an inning of work against Michigan State (March 9)... retired the final batter of the game against Dartmouth on March 14 to earned his second save of the season... allowed his first run of the season on March 23 against Texas Tech... the Red Raiders got a run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning... struck out two of the three batters he faced on March 25 against UT Pan American... picked up a two-inning save at Oklahoma State on March 28... after giving up a run on a hit in an inning of work at UT Arlington (April 1), put together a string of nine straight appearances without allowing a run... collected a save in seven straight appearances from April 5 through April 27... struck out four of the six batters he faced against West Virginia (April 5) to collect save No. 4... tallied a pair of saves in the Kansas series (April 11-12)... five of the six outs in the series came via the strikeout... saved all three games in TCU's sweep of Texas (April 17-19)... had two strikeouts in each of the first two games against the Longhorns... wiggled out of a bases loaded jam in game three, getting a game-ending double play to notch his ninth save of the season... struck out three of the six batters he faced in collected save No. 10 against Cal State Northridge (April 27)... took the loss in extra innings against Oklahoma (May 10) after giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits in two innings... rebounded with a scoreless inning of work against Baylor (May 17)... tied the school record with his 12th save in the opening game of the Big 12 Tournament against Baylor (May 21)... struck out three of the four batters he faced in a rematch with Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament on May 24 to set the school record with his 13th save... came on in relief in the eighth inning the go-ahead run on third and one out against Siena in the NCAA Fort Worth Regional... collected five strikeouts and allowed just one hit in 2 2/3 innings in a game eventually won by the Frogs... pitched a scoreless 22nd inning against Sam Houston State on May 31... struck out four of five batters faced to earn his 15th save in TCU's game one win over Pepperdine in the NCAA Fort Worth Super Regional on June 7... was the winning pitcher in the Super Regional-clinching victory over the Waves on June 9... tossed two scoreless innings of relief... picked up his third win of the season in TCU's opening game against Texas Tech in the College World Series on June 15... tossed four innings of relief in TCU's 15-inning loss to Virginia on June 17... allowed just two base runners and struck out four Cavaliers.

2013 (Freshman)

Earned three letters at A&M Consolidated High School... was a three-time first-team all-district performer both on the mound and at the plate... earned third-team all-state accolades as a junior... selected as a first-team all-state performer by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and the Texas Sports Writer's Association as a senior... made the UIL state all-tournament team as a senior... named the District 12-5A MVP as well as his team's MVP honor as a senior... went 8-3 with a 1.60 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 75 innings pitched as a senior... played club baseball with the Houston Heat... was the only pitcher in Texas to pitch for the area code team in back-to-back years.
