Made seven appearances before suffering a season-ending injury... was used primarily as the long relief guy out of the bullpen, posting a 2.25 ERA in 24 innings pitched... fanned 19 and walked just two while holding opponents to a .107 batting average against... allowed just two of his 11 inherited runners to score... opened the season with 10 1/3 scoreless innings pitched... made his season debut with a scoreless inning of work against Ole Miss on Feb. 17... threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings against Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 24... after issuing a walk to open his appearance, pitched 23 consecutive innings before he allowed another walk... struck out three in two scoreless innings at Jacksonville (March 1)... took the loss after surrendering his first run of the season against Pacific on March 9... worked 3 1/3 innings against the Tigers and struck out three... fanned a season-high five batters in 5 2/3 innings of work against Kansas on March 16... was touched for three runs (two earned) on four hits in the game... allowed two runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings at Oklahoma on March 24... made his final appearance of the season on March 30 at Texas Tech... earned the win after allowing a run on two hits in 3 1/3 innings of work... he fanned four in the game.

2011 (Freshman):
Coaches initially wanted to redshirt him... finished the season 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA... fanned 18 in 28.2 innings of work... team was 7-3 in his 10 appearances.. made four starts in which the Frogs were 3-1... held opponents scoreless in three of his six relief outings... allowed just one of four inherited runners to score... pulled the redshirt on April 6 when they gave him the start against UT Pan American... earned the victory after holding the Broncs to just three hits in four innings of work... got two outs in the Frogs' win over UNLV on April 22... was touched four five runs in 1.2 innings of work in a start against Dallas Baptist on April 25... gave up two runs on three hits in a four-inning start against Baylor on May 10... was outstanding in the regular-season championship-clinching win over Utah on May 15... got the start and allowed just one run on six hits in six innings of work with five strikeouts... pitched two scoreless innings against New Mexico on May 21... was outstanding in relief against New Mexico in the conference tournament... allowed a run on five hits in a career-high seven innings of work... also struck out a career-high six in the contest.

The Woodlands High School:
Was a three-year letterwinner at The Woodlands High School... earned all-district honors as a junior and a senior... selected for the Houston-area Baseball Coaches Association Future All-Star game for two years... appeared as part of the Texas Rangers at the Area Code Games as a junior... named to the Rawlings/Perfect Game pre-season all-regional team... played select ball for The Woodlands Bulls, Columbia Angels and Houston Heat... posted a .327 batting average and was 3-0 with a 1.83 ERA as a junior.
