Made seven starts as part of 26 appearances out of the bullpen... team posted an 18-8 record in games he pitched and a 5-2 record in games he started... allowed just two of his 10 inherited runners to score... held opponents scoreless in 11 of 19 relief appearances... his 2.61 ERA ranked third in the Big 12... tallied 80 strikeouts on the season, ranking seventh in the league... made his collegiate debut on Feb. 19 against Loyola Marymount... took the loss after allowing an unearned run in 3 1/3 innings of work... bounced back with four scoreless appearances spanning six innings... pitched two scoreless innings vs. Houston (Feb. 28), vs. Gonzaga (March 4, 6) and against UT Arlington (March 8)... earned his first career win in the game against Houston... improved to 2-1 on the season after tossing three innings against USC on March 11... allowed four runs over his next two appearances at Rice (March 15) and against West Virginia (March 18)... bounced back with four straight scoreless appearances spanning 10 innings... streak started with a scoreless inning against Abilene Christian (March 22)... struck out seven in 3 1/3 shutout innings at Texas (March 24)... tallied his third win of the season after retiring both batters he faced at UT Arlington (March 29)... improved to 4-1 with five shutout innings that included a career-high nine strikeouts at Wichita State (April 1)... took the loss after allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in two innings at Kansas (April 8)... fell to 4-3 on the year after allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits in three innings at Oklahoma State (April 22)... picked up win No. 5 on April 26 at Dallas Baptist with 4 1/3 shutout innings... allowed an unearned run on three hits and struck out six in three innings against Texas Tech (April 30)... final relief appearance was at Penn State (May 7)... tossed 5 1/3 innings against the Nittany Lions... made his first career start on May 15 at Baylor... allowed two runs and struck out four in 5 2/3 innings... earned his first win as a starter on May 21 against Kansas State after giving up a run on three hits in five innings... started game two of the NCAA Fort Worth Regional against Gonzaga (June 4)... struck out seven and allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings... started the opening game of the NCAA College Station Super Regional at Texas A&M... improved to 7-3 after holding the Aggies to two runs on six hits over 7 2/3 innings... started the Frogs' opening game of the College World Series against Texas Tech... struck out eight and allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits in 4 2/3 innings... made his second CWS start on June 25 vs. Coastal Carolina... suffered the loss after allowing three runs on five hits in three innings of work.
