2003 (Junior): The ace of the Frogs pitching staff... earned Conference USA Pitcher of the Year accolades on the strength of a 9-4 season... named third-team All-American by Louisville Slugger... was named the Metroplex Player of the Year in July... led TCU pitchers in most statistical categories: wins (9), games started (16), ERA (2.34), innings pitched (111.2), strikeouts (106), opponents batting average (.209) and completed games (5)... his ERA, strikeouts, and win totals ranked him third among C-USA pitchers... was ranked 31st among pitchers in Division I with 2.34 ERA... picked up two no-decisions in first two starts of the season against UTSA (Feb. 8) and SE Louisiana (Feb. 14)... allowed two runs in four innings against UTSA and one run (unearned) in four innings against SE Louisiana... earned C-USA Pitcher of the Week performance against Texas Tech (Feb. 22)... became the first Frog to top the Red Raiders in 10 tries... allowed only one run on four hits in seven innings of work against the Red Raiders and struck out five... picked up first loss of the season against BYU (March 6)... was tagged for seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits over six innings by the Cougars... rebounded with first complete game of the season... allowed three runs on eight hits, while striking out five against Tulane (March 15)... rattled off seven straight wins after first loss from (March 15-April 25)... earned second C-USA Pitcher of the Week honors for performance against Saint Louis (March 22)... shutout the Billikens for seven innings and struck out nine... came one out short of bid for second complete game against NCAA qualifier Houston (March 29)... allowed two runs (one earned) and struck out eight Cougars... followed that performance with two consecutive shutouts and 18 consecutive scoreless innings from April 5 to April 18... in victories over Memphis (April 5) and UAB (April 11) allowed only seven combined hits while striking out 25 and walking just two... struck out a career-high 13 against UAB (April 11)... earned third C-USA Pitcher of the Week award after UAB victory... pitched only complete game shut-out against Cincinnati (April 25) for which he earned his fourth C-USA Pitcher of the Week honor... saw seven game win-streak come to a halt on May 2 against USF... struck out 12 in the complete-game effort, allowing three runs on seven hits in the loss... lost his final two starts of season against Louisville (May 15 & May 21)... the Cardinals touched him for 10 runs (six earned) on 10 hits in his final 12 innings of work... gave up eight or less hits in 15 of 16 starts... allowed two walks or less in 13 games... averaged nearly seven innings and 6.6 K's per start... posted 4.2 K:BB ratio... posted a sparkling 1.58 ERA in C-USA action with a 7-2 record in 10 starts... struck out 82 batters in just 79.2 innings... held league opponents to a .186 batting average.

2002 (Sophomore):Second-team all-Conference USA selection anchored the TCU pitching staff... finished season with 9-5 record, 3.33 ERA in 16 starts with three complete games, 110.2 innings pitched and 74 strikeouts... held opponents to a .232 batting average... led C-USA with eight league wins versus two losses... ranked among conference's top 10 in wins (t-5th), ERA (9th), strikeouts (8th), opp. BA (5th), starts (t-3rd) and innings pitched (3rd)... began season with a pair of tough-luck no decisions, allowing just one run in six innings each against Texas Tech (Feb. 7) and SW Texas (Feb. 15)... turned in best performance of non-conference slate in Feb. 23 win over Sam Houston State, scattering five hits and striking out seven in his first complete-game shutout... dropped final two non-conference starts to UTA (March 1) and USC (March 8)... rebounded with five gritty innings vs. Southern Miss in C-USA opener to claim 8-6 victory... turned in finest performance of season in 5-1 win at No. 20 East Carolina on March 22... allowed just one run on three in hits in second complete game... struck out seven Pirates in the win... continued perfect start in C-USA action with wins over Charlotte (March 29) and USF (April 5)... struck-out 10 in eight innings of 6-0 win at Saint Louis (April 22) which earned him C-USA Pitcher of the Week honors... suffered first C-USA loss on April 19 at Tulane... upped league mark to 8-1 by combining to allow just five runs on 10 hits in 14.1 innings of work while striking out 11 in wins over UAB (May 4) and Cincinnati (May 10)... dropped a tough decision to Houston on May 16, allowing only two runs (one earned) in the complete-game effort... allowed one run or less in eight of 16 outings.

2001 (Freshman): Appeared in 21 games on the mound as a true freshman... made four starts on the season... sported a 1-3 record... finished season with a 5.57 ERA... made 17 appearances out of the bullpen... allowed runs in only three of first 11 collegiate efforts, good for a 2.82 ERA... combined for seven strikeouts, allowed five hits and no runs in eight innings in first two meetings with Texas (Feb. 4 and March 6)... picked up first collegiate victory in first match-up with Longhorns, tossing four innings of scoreless relief, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out three... notched first save in second outing versus Texas, going four innings, giving up three hits and a walk, while fanning four... hurled three innings of hitless relief, striking out three, versus nationally-ranked Rice on March 31... struggled the rest of the way, pitching only one more scoreless outing (1.1 innings vs. Fresno St., April 21)... struck out 23 batters over last 10 outings... finished season with 43 strikeouts and 17 walks.

High School: Metroplex native starred at Mesquite's Poteet High... three-year letterwinner for the Pirates... recorded a 12-2 mark as a senior... set Mesquite school record with 18 strikeouts while hurling a perfect game... garnered all-district, all-area, and all-state honors in 2000... received academic all-district recognition, carrying a 3.75 GPA.
