One of four Horned Frogs to play in and start all 67 games... was TCU's starting designated hitter in all 67 games... paced the Big 12 in batting average (.379), total hits (94), runs scored (59) and RBI (62)... tied with Josh Watson for the team lead with 11 home runs... tied for second in the Big 12 with 45 walks... tied for the team-lead with 27 multi-hit games and led the squad with 18 multiple-RBI contests... notched a base hit in 53 games and reached base safely in 63... also made 10 starts on the mound... TCU owned a 6-4 record in games he started on the mound... posted a 3-1 record with a 1.70 ERA... fanned 41 batters in 47 2/3 innings pitched... hit safely in each of the first three games of the season vs. Loyola Marymount (Feb. 19-21)... hit a two-run home run in the series finale against the Lions (Feb. 21)... also made his first collegiate start on the mound... fanned six, walked one and allowed one hit in six shutout innings for his first career victory... posted four hits and drove in four runs in the Shriner's Hospitals for Children College Classic... tossed six shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out seven against Rice (Feb. 27) to improve to 2-0 on the season... also connected on his second home run of the season... was 2-for-2 with two RBIs in the win over Houston (Feb. 28)... drew three walks and went 1-for-1 with three RBIs against UT Rio Grande Valley (March 1)... made first Friday start of the year against Gonzaga on March 4... allowed two runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings of work... was 6-for-9 with five RBIs in the final two games of the Gonzaga series (March 5-6)... doubled as part of two hits and drove in two runs against UT Arlington (March 8)... got a no-decision after surrendering an unearned run on five hits in four innings of work against USC (March 11)... drew four walks and drove in a run against the Trojans on March 12... went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the series opener against West Virginia (March 18)... also tossed five innings on the mound... allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits and struck out four in the no-decision... doubled and hit a grand slam as part of a three-hit game in the series finale against the Mountaineers (March 20)... collected four hits, including three in the series finale, at Texas (March 24-26)... fell to 2-1 on the season after allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Longhorns (March 24)... hit safely in all three games at Wichita State (April 1-3)... got a no-decision in the series-opener against the Shockers after giving up just one hit and walking two in four scoreless innings (April 1)... was 3-for-5 with four RBIs in the series finale against Wichita State on April 3... was 5-for-15 in the series win at Kansas (April 8-10)... got a no-decision in the series opener against the Jayhawks after allowing two runs and striking out six in 5 1/3 innings... contest started a streak of 37 straight games in which he reached base safely... went 2-for-5 in the series opener against Oklahoma (April 15)... also notched a win on the mound after limiting the Sooners to three runs (one earned) on three hits in six innings of work... went 3-for-5 in game to against the Sooners (April 16)... made his final start of the season on the mound at Oklahoma State (April 22)... departed with a minor injury, but remained in the game as the designated hitter when he went 2-for-3... collected three hits and scored twice in TCU's game two victory over the Cowboys (April 23)... had two hits in each of the final two games at Penn State (May 7-8)... connected on his fourth home run of the season in the series finale at Baylor (May 15)... started the postseason with a bang, going 5-for-5 with a double, a home run and three RBIs in the Big 12 Championship opener against Baylor (May 25)... homered for the second consecutive game as part of a three-hit game against Oklahoma State (May 26)... had five RBIs, including a go-ahead three-run home run in the fifth inning to help send TCU to the Championship game... had three hits in the Championship game vs. West Virginia... his 10th inning home run was the difference in the ballgame... named MOP of the Big 12 Championships after hitting .682 with four home runs and 11 RBIs with a Big 12 record 15 hits in the tourney... went 5-for-10 in the NCAA Fort Worth Regional... was 2-for-4 with his ninth home run and three RBIs in the NCAA College Station Super Regional opener at Texas A&M... went 2-for-5 and hit what proved to be the game-winning three run home run in the top of the ninth to help TCU defeat Texas Tech, 5-3, in the opening game of the College World Series (June 19)... his 11th home run of the season to lead off the second inning gave TCU a lead against Coastal Carolina (June 21)... had an RBI double in the final game of the season against the Chanticleers (June 25).
