As a Junior (2002): Second-team all-Conference USA selection appeared in 49 games for TCU, starting 48 ... ranked second on team and ninth in C-USA with .354 batting average ... missed seven games due to dislocated middle finger in left (throwing) hand suffered diving back into second base on pickoff attempt in first inning of contest vs. USC (March 8) ... began season as Frogs' LF, picked up time as DH after return from injury and returned as regular LF after injury sidelined OF Jake Duncan ... in all, made 33 starts in LF, 13 at DH and two in RF ... opened season by hitting safely in nine-of-10 games in February, including seven multi-hit games ... piled up career-high five RBI in 23-12 rout of UT-Arlington on March 4 ... included in five-RBI outburst was first home run as a Horned Frog ... in first game back from injury, torched East Carolina (March 23) for career-best 4-for-4 effort, including a double, two runs and two RBI ... also walked twice vs. Pirates as he reached base safely all six times he appeared at plate in 8-4 triumph at No. 20 ECU ... four-hit outburst began streak of five-straight multi-hit games from March 23-30 ... battered Saint Louis on April 13, reaching base all five times he went to plate in 3-for-3, three-run, three-RBI, two-walk effort ... in all, went 7-for-12 with six runs scored and five RBI as TCU outscored SLU 31-1 in three-game series (April 12-14) ... tallied sixth three-plus-hit game of the season, going 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in completing three-game sweep of Cincinnati on May 12 ... notched one of his finest performances of season in 8-1 triumph over No. 25 Louisville May 23 at C-USA Tournament, going 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI ... was second on team with 22 multi-hit games ... tied for team lead and for third in league with four triples ... despite batting second in TCU lineup most of the season, compiled a .488 batting average when leading off innings ... besides TCU's second-best batting average, was also second on the squad in hits (68) and doubles (15).
