2004 (Junior): Made only seven appearances this season, starting four games... compiled a 1-3 record in 18.1 innings pitched... finished with a 6.38 ERA... recorded losses against Dallas Baptist (Feb. 7), UTA (Feb. 17) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 24)... loss to Oklahoma State was a tough one as defense collapsed and cost him four unearned runs... earned his only win of the season on March 14 against New Mexico... pitched five innings of scoreless baseball, striking out a season-high four batters.
2003 (Sophomore): The best reliever out of the `pen for the Frogs... posted a 3.75 ERA to go along with one save and an 0-1 record in 21 appearances... struck out three of five batters faced in first appearance on Feb. 9 against UT-San Antonio... struck out a career-high four batters in 2.1 innings against SE Louisiana on Feb. 16... did not allow a run in four straight appearances from Mar. 3-Mar. 14, a span of 6.1 innings of work... earned a save on Mar. 14 against Tulane, pitching a perfect ninth inning and recording a strikeout... picked up only decision of the season on Mar. 16 against Tulane in a 6-5 TCU loss... was lights out during an eight game stretch in which he did not allow a run... pitched seven innings from Mar. 25-May 9, allowing only four hits and striking out eight... struck out the side in a Apr. 18 appearance against NCAA qualifier East Carolina on Apr. 18... picked up 31 strikeouts in just 24 innings pitched... dominated with runners on base, allowing opponents to hit only .136 (6-44) with runners on.
2002 (Freshman): Appeared in 15 games for the Frogs, including two starts... after rough start to season in which he allowed earned runs in seven-of-eight appearances, did not allow an earned run in his last seven outings... earned only win of season in first appearance, tossing two scoreless innings and striking out two in 6-5 triumph over No. 16 Baylor on Feb. 9... recorded season-highs with six innings pitched and three strikeouts on Mar. 9 vs. UT-Pan Am... finished the season with a 1-2 mark... 27.2 innings pitched was third among TCU right-handed relievers.
2001 (True Freshman): Appeared in only two games before losing rest of season to knee injury... struck out four in only 3.1 innings... suffered losses in both appearances.
High School: A three-year standout at Taylor High School... led the Ducks to three-straight district championships... earned three-straight all-district recognitions, including back-to-back district MVP honors in 1999 and 2000... drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2000 First Year Player Draft.... as a senior compiled a 16-2 record with a 2.30 ERA while also batting .390 with 15 home runs and 40 RBI.
