TCU Hits Road For Midweek Tilt At SFA

Frogs have won eight straight.

2004 (Senior): Was TCU's regular second baseman... missed only one game all season... one of the best fielders on the team... committed only eight errors all season and only two in his final 48 contests... finished the season with a .292 batting average... led the team and the league with 23 stolen bases... collected 73 hits, scored 50 runs and drove in 30 runs... also led the team with 31 walks... had 24 multi-hit games and eight multiple-RBI games... started out the season on a tear... hit .750 in the first two games... hit the game-winning sacrifice fly in extra innings in TCU's win over Dallas Baptist on Feb. 5... went 3-for-7 in two-game series against NCAA qualifier St. John's with two RBI and two runs scored on March 5 and 6... had a great series against New Mexico (March 12-14)... hit .500 (5-10) over the weekend with three runs scored and two driven in... exploded for two home runs in a 22-2 win over Memphis on March 20... was 2-for-5 in the contest with three RBI and four runs scored... helped the Frogs defeat Houston on March 28... collected three hits in six at-bats with a home run and three RBI... hit his final home run on April 2 at Southern Miss... had a 15-game hit-streak from April 16-May 14... hit .349 (22-63) during the streak... had an outstanding series against Saint Louis (April 23-25)... was 6-for-10 with two RBI and four runs scored... went through a 1-for-15 slump following his hit streak... broke out of it with a seven-game hit-streak in which he hit .379 (11-29)... scored the tying run in the Frogs' come from behind win against Houston on May 29... turned a normal single into a double and eventually scored as the Frogs advanced to the championship game... drew three walks, scored a run and drove in a run in the Frogs win over Youngstown State in the NCAA Austin Regionals on June 5... had two hits in four at-bats in his final collegiate game on June 5 against Oral Roberts... hit .342 against left-handed pitchers... hit .309 against conference foes... hit to the tune of a .355 average at Lupton Stadium..

2003 (Junior): One of the top reserves on the squad... saw action in 23 games, ten as a starter... was a versatile player, making starts as the designated hitter (5), at second (4) and left field (1)... was called upon to pinch run and was also used as a defensive replacement... all nine hits he collected came as a starter... hit at a .290 clip as a starter... best performance was Feb. 18 start against Texas Tech where he was 2-for-3 with a run scored and a run driven in... also had a good day at the plate in a 13-3 win over Saint Louis on Mar. 22... contributed two hits, a double and two runs scored... tallied six steals in seven attempts to lead all reserves.

2002 (True Junior): Redshirted... member of C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2001 (Sophomore): Played in 40 games, starting 33... was second on the squad with five triples... collected 29 hits in 109 at-bats (.266)... drove in three runs in first game of Mar. 4 doubleheader vs. UT-Pan American with a bases loaded triple... had an outstanding series Mar. 17-19 at Hawai'i... went 11-for-13 with five RBI, six runs scored, a double and a triple... capped off impressive weekend with 4-for-4, four-RBI, four-run outburst in TCU's 11-8 win on Mar. 19... tied his own school record by posting 10 assists in 6-5 win over Hawai'i on Apr. 16... finished campaign with 98 assists, good for third on the squad.

2000 (Freshman): Started 34-of-36 games... batted .289 for the season (35-for-121)... hit safely in 23-of-33 games in which he had more than one at-bat... had first-career three-hit game Feb. 6 vs. Southwest Texas State... also posted a three-hit contest vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 15) and Hawai'i (Mar. 10)... tied single-game record for assists with 10 vs. Iowa State (Feb. 12)... hit .322 at home.

In Panama: Boasted an outstanding career in Panama's junior program... started for the 1999 Panamanian Junior National Team which finished 18th at the Junior World Championships in China... garnered all-tournament honors as a second baseman after hitting .579 (11-of-19)... squad also placed second at the Junior Pan American Games in Venezuela... at 15, led Pony League team to national championship... Advanced to Latin American Championships in Puerto Rico, where he was named the tournament's best second baseman... also won the national championship as a 12-year-old Little Leaguer.
