As a Sophomore (2001): Transferred in mid-year from Creighton University ... made immediate impact on the squad, playing in 54 games, starting 48 ... collected second-team all-WAC accolades ... was second behind 12th-round draft pick Erick Macha for the team lead in batting with a .316 average ... recorded 22 multi-hit games, including five outings with three hits ... of his 62 hits, only 14 were for extra bases ... collected first multi-hit game on first day of the season, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored versus Prairie View on Jan. 30 ... went 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI versus Hawai'i-Hilo (Feb. 19) ... collected three hits, four runs and an RBI in four at-bats versus UT-Pan American (March 4) ... strung together five-straight multi-hit games twice -- March 15-22 and April 16-22 ... blasted first collegiate home run March 22 at Hilo ... went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, a double and a round-tripper at Nevada (April 5) ... belted a career-high three doubles in 3-for-4, three run effort against Hawai'i on April 16 ... attained last three-hit game of the campaign with 3-for-5, two RBI, one run, one double performance at Fresno State (April 22) ... made two appearances on the mound, allowing no earned runs and one hit in three innings of work ... struck out three in 2.1 IP at Nevada on April 7 ... allowed one hit and two unearned runs in two-thirds of an inning versus Texas on April 17.
