2004 Scouting Report: Hopes to have the first healthy season of his career as he has battled injuries each of the last three seasons. Most of his contributions will come out of the bullpen this season.

2003 (Junior): Made just two appearances... pitched one inning at former school Texas Tech on Feb. 18... recorded two walks and one earned run in the 15-11 loss... did not allow a hit all season... only other appearance was on Mar. 3 in a 13-1 loss to UT-Arlington... sat out rest of the season with elbow injury.

2002 (Sophomore): Returned from injury-riddled two years to make four appearances... compiled an 0-3 record... best outing of season came in season opener on Feb. 7 vs. Texas Tech... tossed three hitless innings of relief before allowing a home run to open 10th inning to pick up tough-luck 2-1 loss... struck out four in five innings pitched on the campaign.

At Grayson/Texas Tech: Battled injuries at both Texas Tech (99-00) and Grayson JC (00-01)... pitched 14 innings for the Red Raiders... struck out 14 batters... did not see any game action at Grayson... received a medical redshirt following shoulder surgery.

High School: A prep phenom at Fort Worth's Eastern Hills High School... earned four letters in baseball... garnered TPX all-American accolades in 1999... a two-time all-state honoree... raked in all-district plaudits all four years, including MVP honors in 1998... holds Eastern Hills records for strikeouts in a season (146) and career (315)... led Highlanders to 81-27 three-year mark... team won three district titles... EHHS captured bi-district and area championships in 1999.
