Named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American... earned a spot on the C-USA all-Freshman squad... played in 49 games, making 43 starts this season... saw action as a catcher (20) and as the designated hitter (23)... hit .310 this season and finished second on the squad with 11 home runs... collected 54 hits, scored 29 runs, smoked 10 doubles and legged out two triples... made only two errors in 170 chances this season... was on base in 41 of 49 games... tallied a hit in 35 contests... had 14 multi-hit games and nine multiple-RBI contests... hit .277 in 23 conference games with six doubles, one triple and six home runs... drove in 38 runs... first career start was against Utah on February 13... went 2-for-4 with an RBI... had a break-out game in his next start on February 18 against Florida Atlantic... went 4-for-5 at the plate with his first two career home runs... drove in four runs in the Frog victory... the game started a season-long 10 game hit streak in which he hit .316 (19-for-60)... drove in 10 runs during that streak and scored 10 runs... drove in three runs with a bases loaded triple in the series opener against Southern Miss on March 18... began another streak of seven straight games with a hit on March 25 against Saint Louis... raised his batting average back up to .328 with a 3-for-5 day at the plate against Memphis on April 16... had another seven-game hit streak that saw hit hit .429 (12-for-28)... homered in three straight contests against Charlotte... struggled the rest of the way, collecting only two hits in his final 19 at-bats... had a pinch-hit RBI single against Southern Miss in the Conference USA Tournament...hit .429 with the bases loaded and .467 with a runner on third and less than two outs... collected 19 two-out RBIs.

Bellaire High School:
Named all-district three consecutive years... played on the Texas Scouts Association show case team in 2002 and 2003... also participated in the Major League Baseball Area Code games in Long Beach, Calif. in 2002 and 2003... member of the Columbia Angels Select Baseball Team in 2002 and 2003... ranked by as the 24th top prospect in Texas byTexas Baseball News... batted .420 with 42 RBIs and 10 home runs as a senior.
