Jim Schlossnagle
"I was really proud of how our guys played as a team. I thought they played really well. I thought Brett Johnson played well at second base, I thought Davy Wright played well, and I thought Andrew Mitchell, Nick Frey, and Trey Teakell all pitched well except for a couple mistakes. We were facing a real good team, and they hit two home runs, both of which were supposed to be off the plate. I'm disappointed we lost, and we don't accept losing, but at the same time I was still pleased."

Andrew Mitchell
"They're really hard to strike out because they always put the ball in play. Everyone wants to start off on the right foot, but things happen, and you can't win them all. I didn't really have a good feel for [my change-up] at all, and when you have a bad third pitch you have to stick with your one-two pitches [for the game]."

Jason Coats
"Both teams played real clean baseball, and had good fundamental baseball. We made a few mental errors which cost us a little bit. I felt confident going up there [in the last at-bat], and my swings had been good all night. He threw me a fastball that I just missed and then he left one a little bit over the plate and I just couldn't get a good swing on it. Sometimes things don't go your way. I'm disappointed I struck out but it's a long season."
