Game Notes:
Travis Hennessey made his first career start. The freshman was tonight's starting designated hitter.
Keaton Jones had two hits and drove in two runs in the game. It was his sixth career multi-hit game and his second career multiple RBI contest.
Jantzen Witte posted his 59th career multi-hit game.
• TCU turned its first double play of the season in the second inning. Greg Velazquez lined out to Jantzen Witte, who doubled off Chad Wallach at first.
Jerrick Suiter made just his second appearance as a catcher. He took over behind the plate in the eighth inning.
Trey Teakell tied his career high with three strikeouts. He's done it four other times.
• TCU has not opened the season 0-4 since the 1981 season. The Frogs started the year 0-5 and went on to finish 27-19 on the year.
• TCU fell to 6-5 in home openers at Lupton Stadium.
