Stillwater, Okla. - The Horned Frogs defense cost them a chance at their fifth win of the season as they committed six errors in the game, costing them five runs. The Oklahoma State Cowboys took advantage of the errors to even the season series at one game apiece as they won the game 7-5. Designated hitter, Chris Neuman drove in four runs for the Frogs with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate.

TCU came out swinging as they collected three hits in the first inning, but only scored one run as the Frogs made two outs on the bases. After a lead-off single, German Duran was picked off, followed by a Shelby Ford single. Chris Neuman hit a two-out double to left center, plating Ford with the Frogs first run of the game, but was thrown out at third trying to stretch the double.

The Frogs squandered a golden opportunity to put the Cowboys in a deeper hole as the Frogs loaded the bases on two errors and a walk, but two straight fly outs to right ended the threat and kept the lead at one. OSU tied the game in the bottom of the inning, scoring on a two-out hit by nine-hole hitter Chris Gutierrez.

The Frogs finally broke through again in the fifth when Mason hit Kyle Dahlberg to lead off the inning. Dahlberg was erased on a fielder's choice off the bat of Duran. Rod Allen made a diving catch in right field to rob Ford of a double. Neuman once again came through with two outs, delivering the RBI-single to right, scoring Duran with the go-ahead run.

The Cowboys didn't wait long to tie the game and take the lead as the Frog defense collapsed in the bottom of the inning, allowing five runs, four of which were unearned. Justin Vinyard led of the inning with a bunt single, followed by two sacrifices the Frogs had trouble fielding. A Dahlberg error allowed Vinyard to score the tying run and a Keanon Simon single gave the Cowboys their first lead of the game. The trouble didn't stop there as OSU pushed across three more runs on a sacrifice fly and Ford's third error of the game.

Neuman continued his outstanding game as he drove in two more runs in the top of the seventh. Chad Huffman led off the inning with a single and Neuman drove him home with his team-leading third home run of the season, chasing Dane Mason from the game. Brent Weaver came on in relief and retired the next three Frogs ending the inning with the Cowboys still leading 6-4. The Cowboys put another unearned run across the plate, pushing the lead to three, 7-4.

The Frogs tried to mount a rally in the ninth as Ramon Moses led off the inning with a walk and following a strikeout, Duran was hit by the pitch to put runners on first and second. Huffman delivered a two-out single to left, plating Moses and pulling the Frogs within two, 7-5, but that was all the Frogs would get. Brett McDonald came out of the 'pen and got Neuman to fly out to end the game.

Mokry (0-3) pitched four-plus innings, allowing six runs, only two earned, on five hits, while striking out two and walking one. Chad Underwood pitched two innings of hitless relief and striking out one.

With the loss, the Frogs drop to 4-5 on the season. TCU will stay on the road as they head to Lubbuck for a three-game series with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Game time for Friday's match-up is set for 3 p.m. at Dan Law Field.
