Game Notes:
• TCU has won 12 straight against Texas Tech dating back to 2007.
Riley Ferrell picked up his first career save.
Kevin Cron extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a second inning base hit.
Derek Odell collected his first extra base hit of the season, a double leading off the third inning.
• For the first time this season, Preston Morrison failed to pitch six innings.
• Morrison has allowed two runs or less in six of his seven starts this season.
Paul Hendrix tallied his fourth multi-hit game of the season. He also extended his hitting streak to four games.
• Hendrix was intentionally walked in the ninth inning. It was only the second intentional walk issued to the Horned Frogs this season.
Travis Evans came on in the sixth with two runners on and left them stranded. In his career, the sophomore has allowed just one of his 14 inherited runners to score.
• Evans has been great this season as he has stranded all seven runners he's inherited this season.
• Evans has yet to give up a run this season. He has pitched eight scoreless innings over seven appearances.
