The TCU Horned Frogs won their 11th straight home game on Saturday at Lupton Stadium as they topped the Cincinnati Bearcats 10-3. The Frogs fell behind 3-0 early, but put up 10 runs in the final seven innings, including a five-run eighth inning to win their second in a row. The Bearcats committed five errors in the game, costing them six unearned runs.

The Bearcats were up 1-0 three batters into the game as Jack Nelson singled home Brian Beltz to give the `Cats their first lead of the series. They pushed the lead to 3-0 in the second on a Mark Muscenti two-run double.

The Frogs stormed back and tied the game in the bottom of the inning without the benefit of a hit. Bearcat second baseman, Muscenti struggled defensively in the inning committing three costly errors, allowing TCU to tie the game at three.

TCU finally grabbed the lead in the fourth inning. Kyle Dahlberg led off the inning with a bloop-double and the Frogs played small ball to bring him in. Ramon Moses sacrificed Dahlberg to third and German Duran drove him in with a sacrifice fly for his second RBI of the evening.

The Bearcats were poised to tie the game in the sixth inning with a runner on second base, but J.J. Estrada made a diving catch on a ball ticketed for the right field gap, ending the threat.

Clayton Jerome sailed through the game after the second inning, allowing only two base runners through the eighth inning. He retired the last eight men he faced before giving way to Robbie Findlay in the ninth.

Duran gave the Frogs a two-run lead in the seventh inning as he picked up his third home run of the season to lead off the inning. The Frogs broke the game open in the eighth inning, scoring five times on three hits and two more Bearcat errors.

Dahlberg collected his second double of the contest, driving in Chris Neuman and J.J. Estrada. Chad Huffman connected for a two-run bomb to round out the scoring for TCU.

Jerome improves to 7-2 with the victory, striking out six and walking only one in his eight innings of work. Findlay recorded the final two outs for the Frogs, striking out two.

The Frogs (19-13, 7-4) and the Bearcats (5-25, 1-10) will wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. Tim McGough will get his first start of the season and face Aaron Moll.
