FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs stretched their winning streak to five games with a 6-1 victory over Air Force. Jerrick Suiter drove in two runs and Josh Elander tallied three hits in the win.

Preston Morrison (5-0) pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up a run on three hits. He walked three and struck out four. Trey Teakell allowed just one hit in 2 2/3 innings pitched and fanned three.

A big first inning got the Frogs off on the right foot as they pushed across three runs on just one hit. Brance Rivera was hit to open the inning and moved to second on a walk to Jantzen Witte. Suiter came up big with a double to the left center field gap that plated both runners for a 2-0 lead. An error by the Falcons proved costly as it allowed Suiter to move to third where he scored on a ground out off the bat of Kevin Cron to make it a 3-0 game.

Morrison pitched out of trouble in the third inning after he surrendered a lead-off double to Tyler Saleck. The freshman got three fly balls to leave Saleck stranded on second.

In the fourth, the Frogs took advantage of three walks to push across a two-out run. Witte gave TCU a 4-0 lead with a single that just eluded the second baseman.

Two more runs crossed the plate for the Horned Frogs in the fifth inning as they opened up a 6-0 lead. Elander led off the inning with a base hit and moved to second on a perfectly executed hit and run with one out. A bunt single by Davy Wright loaded the bases. Keaton Jones worked a walk to drive in Elander and Rivera smoked a sacrifice fly to center field to drive in Gonzales.

Air Force got on the scoreboard in the seventh inning as it took advantage of a lead-off walk to David Thomas. He was standing on second with two outs when pinch hitter Ryan Kramer singled through the left side to drive in the Falcons' lone run of the game.

TCU improves to 19-13 overall and 8-3 in league play. The Frogs will go for the series sweep Sunday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. Stefan Crichton will pitch for the Horned Frogs and face the Falcons' Evan Abrecht.
