Game Notes:
• With his third at-bat of the game, Jason Coats became the all-time leader in career at-bats, passing Matt Carpenter's career mark of 843.
• Coats also moved into third all-time as he played in his 218th career game, passing Sam Lunsford.
Brett Johnson made his first start at first base since March 20 against Texas State.
Kyle Von Tungeln tallied his team-leading 15th multi-hit game of the season.
• Von Tungeln was caught stealing for the first time this season. He is now 7-for-8 on the campaign.
Preston Morrison's previous career high for strikeouts was five against UNLV on March 31.
• All three of Morrison's starts have been of the quality variety. He pitched 8 2/3 against UNC Wilmington and 6 1/3 innings against Air Force.
• TCU has not allowed more than two runs in any of the nine wins during the current winning streak.
• The Frogs have two winning streaks of nine games this season. In 2008, the Frogs had a nine game streak and a 10 game streak.
