FORT WORTH -- No. 6 TCU led wire-to-wire in wrapping up the series victory over Baylor with an 8-5 win on Sunday at Lupton Stadium. Evan Skoug, Cam Warner and Austen Wade homered for the Horned Frogs.

The Rundown
Wade led off the first with a base hit and moved to third on a Luken Baker base hit. Josh Watson put the Frogs on top 1-0 with a two-out single.

Back-to-back home runs from Warner and Skoug to open the third pushed TCU's lead to three, but Baylor closed the gap to one, 3-2, with a pair of two-out runs in the fourth.

Twice Baylor had the tying run in scoring position, once in the sixth and once in the seventh. A ground out in the sixth stranded the runner at second. In the seventh, a foul out and a fly ball left the tying run on third.

Wade gave the Frogs some breathing room in the seventh with a one-out home run. A four-spot in the eighth broke the game open. Ryan Merrill worked a bases-loaded walk. Elliott Barzilli followed with a two-run double and Wade collected his second RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly to make it 8-2.

Baylor tried to get back in the game in the ninth, scoring a trio of runs to make it an 8-5 game. With the tying run at the plate, Dalton Brown came on and got a strikeout to pick up his first career save.

Brian Howard (6-2) picked up the win after allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits in 5 2/3 innings. He fanned six and walked just one. Sean Wymer contributed 2 1/3 scoreless in relief.
