TCU Head Coach Jim Schlossnagle
Opening Statement:
"I thought it was a really good win for our team. I knew it wasn't going to be easy. Their guy, [Daniel] Castano pitched outstanding and we had chances to get to him early. We just kept hitting balls right at people. [Josh] Michalec is a very good pitcher, but anytime you can get a closer out there early on a hot day you have a decent chance to get to him. We had some good at-bats; especially Kevin's [Cron] two out hits. I thought [Brandon] Finnegan was his normal self and outstanding today. [Trey] Teakell did his job as he has done all year, and Riley [Ferrell] is one of the best closers in the nation. It was a very complete game for TCU."

On Trey Teakell's performance:
"It was huge because if he doesn't do his job, then all of a sudden our bullpen is a little bit weaker going into a game later today and thus worse tomorrow. I do think he is the most valuable pitcher on our team. There is a lot of really valuable pitchers on our team, but I say valuable because he can pitch in any role. I can bring him in in the second inning or I can have him close a game if Riley [Ferrell] is not available. He has been very dependable for the last couple of years."

On if TCU deserves a national seed in the NCAA:
"Somebody in our league needs to be a national seed. We are the number two RPI league, it's got to be somebody so it might as well be us. We've had a great season and Oklahoma State has also had a great season. Texas is also playing really well right now. I know the first four or five are probably pretty easy for the committee to pick, and the last three are probably really tough. I think our resume is as good as any and better than most. This league deserves a national seed. The ACC is behind us in RPI and they are talking about two teams in that league having one."

P Trey Teakell
On his mindset entering today's game:
"When I came in for Brandon [Finnegan] my job was just to force the action and to attack the zone. I wanted to fill it up with strikes and see if they were going to be able to hit their way to a win. My job all year has been to throw strikes and make the other team put the ball in play. The odds are in my favor when I do that, so I just try to attack as much as I can."

1B Kevin Cron
On reaching the championship game:
"Like Coach Schlossnagle said, it's a pretty big step for our program to get to the championship game in our second year. It shows everything we have done up to this point has paid off. We have worked really hard to get here, but we aren't done yet. That's how it's been since the game has ended. We are ready to go tomorrow and see what happens."
