FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU baseball team will host the third annual "Frogs for the Cure" Women's Baseball Clinic presented by Baylor All Saints to benefit Komen for the Cure on Feb. 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sam Baugh Indoor Facility. Join the 2012 baseball coaching staff and team for food, fashion and Horned Frogs' baseball.
Cost of the event is $35 per person or $350 for a table of 10. All ticket proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen of Greater Fort Worth for the Cure to provide funds for research and breast cancer treatment. The event is open to all women ages 21 and up.
"So many members of our team have been affected by breast cancer and it has touched me personally. My stepmother and stepsister are both survivors, and I am committed to the cause," explained head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
Some perks for guests to look forward to are: complimentary valet from Rent A Frog, a chance to take a round of batting practice, test your velocity on your fastball, a fashion show featuring members of the baseball team, who will model the upcoming season's uniforms and the Showgirls modeling attire from Teskey's Uptown as well as numerous door prizes. New to the event this year will be special guest Mac Fulfer, who is well-known for his face-reading ability. Guests will have a chance to meet Mac Fulfer and get their faces read.
Dinner will be provided by Blue Mesa along with desserts from McKinley's and Simply Fondue. Special women's baseball t-shirts will be sold at the clinic and throughout the season with proceeds benefitting Komen.
