Jan. 25, 2018

FORT WORTH – On Wednesday, Jan. 24, TCU baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle was honored as the 2018 recipient of the C Victor Thornton Humanitarian Award.

The C. Victor Thornton Humanitarian Award is given periodically by Fort Worth's Moslah Shriners to honor individuals from the North Texas area to recognize them for their outstanding work in aiding children in need. The award is given in honor of long time Fort Worth industrialist, philanthropist, and civic and community leader C. Victor Thornton, who served as president of Shriners International and President and Chairman of the Board of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Schlossnagle was presented with the award by the Honorable Roger Williams, a TCU letterman and former head baseball coach. The event featured a dinner, silent and live auction with all net proceeds benefitting Shriners Hospitals for Children in Texas.
