Alumni Game Set For Saturday Afternoon

FORT WORTH - The TCU baseball team will give fans a sneak peek at the 2014 squad when they host their annual Alumni game on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. at Lupton Stadium. Admission is free.

The expected starting pitcher for the varsity squad will be left-hander Tyler Alexander. The 2014 alumni squad will feature seven new faces as Stefan Crichton, Paul Hendrix, Andrew Mitchell, Justin Scharf, Trevor Seidenberger, Jantzen Witte and Davy Wright will make their first appearance in the other dugout.

Also making their way to Fort Worth for TCU's annual Alumni Weekend will be a host of talented former players. The alumni roster will feature 15 players currently playing professional baseball. Along with the five who were drafted last summer will be Kevin Allen, Matt Carpenter, Jason Coats, Matt Curry, Josh Elander, Taylor Featherston, Greg Holle, Jerome Pena, Kyle Von Tungeln and Kyle Winkler. Others set to play in the game are Lance Broadway, Ben Carruthers, Keith Conlon, Dillon Farish, Tyler Lockwood, Jimmie Pharr, Andrew Walker and Joe Weik.

The 2014 Horned Frogs enter the season ranked as high as No. 19 in the country. TCU is set to open the campaign on Feb. 14 against Jacksonville. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.
