Five Horned Frogs Earn Academic All-Big 12

Kevin Cron is a first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

FORT WORTH - Five members of the TCU baseball team were honored as Academic All-Big 12 performers. Three of the five honorees were first-team recipients.

Earning first team recognition were: Kevin Cron (Accounting), Dylan Fitzgerald (Communications) and Preston Morrison (Ecominics). Cron and Morrison are second time first-team recipients while Fitzgerald was a second-team honoree in 2013.

To qualify for first-team Academic All-Big 12, athletes must have a GPA of 3.20 or better and have participated in at least 60% of the team's contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible to earn recognition.

TCU's second-team honorees were Brian Trieglaff (Management) and Alex Young (Criminal Justice). To earn a spot on the second team, athletes much have a GPA of 3.00 to 3.19.
