TCU Selected As Regional Host Site

May 28, 2017

FORT WORTH - The NCAA announced today that TCU will be one of the 16 regional site hosts for next weekend's NCAA Regionals which are slated to begin Friday.

The nationally-ranked Horned Frogs will be making their 13th appearance in the last 14 years in the postseason and are hosting for the seventh time in program history. TCU is one of just five programs nationally to be hosting an NCAA Regional for the seventh time in the last nine years (Florida, Florida State, Louisville and LSU).

The Frogs (42-16) are coming off another strong regular season that saw them earn their second Big 12 regular season title. TCU has won a conference championship each of the last four years (2014, 2016 Tournament; 2015, 2017 Regular Season).

Each regional field features four teams, playing a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, June 2 to Monday, June 5.

The field of 64 will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. in a show airing on ESPN2. Fans are welcome to join the Frogs in the Stuart Family Courtside Club located on the ground floor of the Schollmaier Arena for a selection show watching party. Doors open at 10:45 a.m.

By virtue of being awarded a regional, all 16 host institutions have also been selected to the 64-team field.

Tickets will initially be sold as All-Session reserved and general admission packages only. This package includes tickets to each game with a maximum of seven (7) possible games. Currently, they are available to season ticket holders only and must be purchased by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31.

All-Session reserved prices are $60 each and $45 each for GA. This is a substantial savings as single game tickets---if available after expected high demand for All-Sessions---will not be sold until the first game and will be $20 and $15 each. All seats in Lupton Stadium will be sold as reserved seats, and General Admission will be in the outfield down the first base line and right field.

If all-session reserved seat packages remain, they will be available to the general public Thursday morning beginning at 8 a.m. Call 817-257-3764 to purchase your tickets.

All regular season reserved parking permits are valid for the NCAA Fort Worth Regional. Additional parking is available for $10 in Lot 13 and $5 in Lot 2. Shuttles will run starting 90 minutes prior to the first game of each day, and continue through the day until completion.
