Duo Earn All-America Accolades

FORT WORTH - TCU baseball's Preston Morrison and Brandon Finnegan were named Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger All-Americans. Morrison was tabbed a second-team honoree, while Finnegan earned third team accolades.
Morrison, the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, has put together an impressive junior campaign. He paced the league and ranks seventh nationally with his 1.25 ERA and is 9-3 in 15 starts this season. Morrison has five complete games and has combined on five of TCU's 14 shutouts on the season. He has 76 strikeouts in a team-leading 108 1/3 innings pitched.
For Morrison, it's the second time in his career he has earned All-American accolades. As a freshman, Morrison earned third-team honors. He is the first two-time All-American under the guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
Finnegan, a first-team all-Big 12 honoree, is 8-3 with a 2.04 ERA in 14 starts. The junior led the Big 12 with 110 strikeouts in 84 innings pitched. He has one complete game and combined to shutout four opponents.
Under the guidance of Schlossnagle, TCU has produced 12 All-Americans. It's the third time in Schlossnagle's 11 seasons the Frogs have had two All-Americans in a season.
