Kipper Highlights Draft Day Two

Jordan Kipper was drafted in the ninth round by the Angels.

FORT WORTH - TCU junior right-handed pitcher Jordan Kipper was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the ninth round of the 2014 MLB First-year Player Draft. He is the second Horned Frog drafted this season.

Kipper has been a part of an impressive core of starters for the Horned Frogs this season. Used primarily in the midweek starter role, Kipper has made 12 starts as part of 15 appearances. He boasts an 8-2 record with a 3.01 ERA in 68 2/3 innings pitched. The right-hander has fanned 65 and held opponents to a .235 batting average against.

During his 11 seasons as TCU's head coach, Jim Schlossnagle has seen 46 players drafted by 23 organizations. In total, the Horned Frogs have had 50 draft selections since 2004.
