Fall Ball Wraps Up Sunday Afternoon

FORT WORTH - The TCU baseball team will wrap up its fall season Sunday afternoon when they host Stephen F. Austin. First pitch against the Lumberjacks is set for Noon at Lupton Stadium.

The Horned Frogs will start Riley Ferrell on Sunday afternoon. The game is open to the public and free of charge. The contest offers fans a glimpse of the squad that will take the field in 2013.

On Thursday, Baseball America ranked the 2012 recruiting class as the 11th best in the nation. The group of 17 features 12 freshmen and five junior college transfers.

Four of the incoming players were ranked among the top 500 draft prospects in the country. Two of the freshmen, Mitchell Traver (110) and Alex Young, were among the top 126 draft-eligible players. Four were drafted June and elected to continue their education. Tejay Antone was drafted in the 22nd round, while Young and Paul Hendrix were taken in the 32nd round. Traver was a 39th round pick.
