Two Junior College Players Sign NLIs

FORT WORTH - The TCU baseball team has announced the additional signings of a pair of junior college transfers to National Letters of Intent. With the addition of the two transfers, the 2012 recruiting class features 14 signees.

Transferring to TCU in the fall of 2013 will be Garrett Crain (Rose State College, Oklahoma) and Jordan Kipper (Central Arizona Community College, Arizona).

Crain is an infielder for head coach Coty Cooper at Rose State College. A graduate of Edmond Sante Fe High School, he played under the direction of Lonny Cobble. The son of Robert and Mary, Crain earned all-conference honors as a freshman.

A pitcher at Central Arizona Community College, Kipper is a graduate of Mountain Pointe High School where he played for head coach Brandon Buck. He was a high school teammate of current Horned Frog Kevin Cron. The son of Bruce and Julie, Kipper was named the Arizona Junior College Pitcher of the Year.

Also inking their NLIs were: Tyler Alexander (Southlake Carroll High School), Robby Medel (Bowie High School), Brandon Gilson (Prosper High School), Billy McKinney (Plano West High School), Alex Mata (Midland High School), Connor Beck (Midland High School), Brian Howard (Saint Louis University High School), Ryan Burnett (The Woodlands High School), Walker Pennington (Houston Memorial High School), Will Fox (Montgomery High School), Will Foreman (Lamar High School) and Eric Garza (San Antonio Reagan High School).
