FORT WORTH - TCU sophomore pitcher Preston Morrison has been named a third-team preseason All-American by the NCBWA. It marks the third straight season the Horned Frogs have had a preseason All-American.

Morrison had a dominating freshman campaign en route to being named a Louisville Slugger third-team All-American. Additionally, he was selected to numerous Freshman All-American teams. He became the first athlete in Mountain West history to earn Pitcher and Freshman of the Year honors.

Morrison made 11 starts as part of 23 appearances on the mound and tied for the team lead with a 9-2 record. He led the team with 112 2/3 innings pitched and struck out 72 while walking just 12.

The 2013 season gets underway Feb. 15 when the Horned Frogs travel to Oxford, Miss. for a three-game series against Ole Miss.
