Duo Honored As Preseason All-Americans

Dec. 18, 2017

FORT WORTH – Two members of the TCU baseball team were recognized as Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-Americans. For the second year in a row, Luken Baker was tabbed a first-team preseason All-American while Jared Janczak was recognized on the second team.

Baker, a first-team all-conference performer last season, returns for his junior campaign. In 47 games played in 2017, Baker hit .317 with eight doubles and eight home runs. Despite missing the final 21 games of the season, he still ranked third on the team with 41 RBIs.

Janczak earned second-team All-American honors in 2017. He paced the starting rotation with a 2.31 ERA in 15 starts. Janczak finished the year with a 9-2 record and 102 strikeouts in 93 1/3 innings.

The Horned Frogs open the 2018 campaign on Feb. 16 at Grand Canyon University.
