Aaron Durley redshirted in his first season in the TCU program after suffering a major knee injury in pre-season workouts ... underwent season-ending surgery on his left knee prior to the start of the season ... suffered the injuring on a non-contact play while dropping back down to the floor on a rebound attempt.

Durley arrived at TCU after playing for Houston-area Fort Bend Bush High School ... a three-star recruit according to both Rivals.com and Scout.com ... ranked as the No. 41 player in the state of Texas for the class of 2012-13 by ESPN.com ... played for a talented Bush High team as a senior that posted a 28-6 overall record, finished second in the final 5A District 23 standings and reached the Region III quarterfinals of the state playoffs ... the squad finished the spring ranked No. 10 in the state and No. 51 in the nation ... posted single-game averages of 8.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots in a reserve role, as Bush also featured Cameron Ridley, one of the nation's top center prospects ... prior to attending Bush High, played in the private school ranks for Houston's St. Thomas Catholic High School as a sophomore, earning TAPPS second-team all-state honors ... missed his entire junior year in 2010-11 while recovering from an Achilles injury ... also played for the Houston Hoopstars on the AAU circuit ... in addition to his basketball prowess, he formerly was a standout Little League baseball player while living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where his father worked in the oil industry ... played in the Little League World Series for the Arabian American team that reached the event in both 2005 and 2006 ... played first base in 2006 while becoming the tallest player in Little League World Series history.

Durley is the son of James and Dana Durley ... has one brother, Cameron ... cousin J.R. Durley starred at center for Wichita State before beginning a professional career overseas ... uncle, James Cotton, played football at Ohio State and later in both the NFL and CFL ... plans to major in communications.
