One of two seniors on the roster... Dumont is regarded as an excellent rebounder who can run the floor... a good shot blocker as well... a team-oriented player... solid on the defensive end of the court.



Started seven of 30 games played last season... averaged 6.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest... shot .518 from the field and .709 from the free-throw line... finished third on the team with 33 blocked shots... posted a double-double against Grambling, scoring a season-high 17 points and a season-high 11 rebounds... also recorded a double-double against UTA, scoring 10 points and pulling down 10 rebounds... reached double figures in points in 10 contests and twice in rebounds... led the team in rebounds in two contests, Butler and Arkansas-Pine Bluff... averaged 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in Western Athletic Conference play...in conference play, he finished third on the team with 11 blocks... saw action in 15 of 16 conference games, including three starts... in all games, he averaged 14.1 minutes per contest... played a season-high 25 minutes in February 22nd contest at Hawaii... in that contest, he came off the bench to score 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting... added six rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot to his game totals.

Dumont averaged 12.1 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore, leading his club to a 16-14 record... Hit 57 percent of his field goal attempts... Blocked 42 shots... Earned a spot on the West Division All-Conference team and on the All-Region 11 squad... Averaged 11.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting 58.3 percent from the floor as a freshman at Seminole State... Led the Trojans with 55 blocked shots... Racked up those averages while playing an average of just 20 minutes per contest while helping the Trojans to the Bi-State Conference Championship and a 21-11 record for head coach Phil Ingersoll.

High School

Dumont is a 1994 graduate of Gaynstead High School where he played for Howard Harvey and Phillip Knibbs... Also played volleyball and cricket, was on the track and field, cross country and swimming teams... Selected to play on the Jamaican National basketball team... Was on the International Championship JABA team in 1998 where he was the leading rebounder and shot blocker, earning International Player of the Year honors... Was the captain on his high school team for three years.


Marlon Saint Andrew Dumont was born on June 1, 1977... brother, Ian, played basketball at Cornell University... pursuing a degree in speech language pathology at TCU.
