2014-15 SEASON OUTLOOK
Charles Hill Jr. gives the Frogs an added dimension off the bench with his scoring ability and toughness attacking the glass. A solid player for TCU during his first two seasons, look for Hill to continue to improve throughout the course of his career as the junior has shown flashes of brilliance the past two years.
2013-14 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Hill Jr. made his first start of the season on Nov. 19 against Abilene Christian and made his second start of the season against UTPA on Dec. 15 ... shattered his season-and career-high in points with 20 against Mississippi State ... also tallied a season-high in minutes (24), field goals (7), threes (3) and free throws made (3) ... scored 10 points against Tulsa for his first double-digit point game ... was named the CBS Sports Network Player of the Game versus Tulsa ... had a career-game for the Horned Frogs against Mississippi State, scoring a career-high 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, which included a 3-for-5 performance from deep ... the sophomore set career-highs in points, field goals made and 3-point field goals made ... sat out a majority of the Frogs Big 12 Conference.
2012-13 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Hill Jr. appeared in 24 games as a true freshman, 17 in a reserve role and seven as a starter ... made each of his starts in Big 12 play ... finished the season ranked third on the team in 3-pointers, sixth in assists and seventh in points and rebounds ... scored 105 of his 110 points following the start of conference play ... averaged playing 24.3 minutes in TCU's league schedule after totaling just 29 minutes of action during non-conference ... led TCU twice in scoring and once in rebounds ... scored in double figures four times, including two straight games to end the season ... made his collegiate debut against Centenary (Nov. 12), recording a block and a steal against the Gents ... scored his first collegiate basket against Southern Utah (Nov. 29) ... played 11 minutes against Houston (Dec. 4), hitting his first career 3-pointer ... saw his first significant playing time with 24 minutes at Oklahoma State (Jan. 9), scoring five points tallying a career-high two steals ... made his first career start at Baylor (Jan. 12) and played a career-high 38 minutes ... led the squad for the first time in points (12) and rebounds (career-high eight) against the Bears ... tied for the team lead with 10 points during TCU's home loss to Iowa State (Jan. 19) ... scored eight points and went a career-best 4-of-4 at the free-throw line while earning the start at No. 9 Kansas State (March 5) ... also set a career best with three steals against the Wildcats ... scored a personal-best 13 points in the home win over Oklahoma (March 9) while also chipping in career-highs of four assists and three 3-pointers ... concluded the season with 10 points during the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship opening-round loss to Texas (March 13).
Hill Jr. joined the TCU program following a standout prep career at Fort Worth's Trimble Tech High School ... the No. 27 overall player in the state of Texas for the class of 2012 and a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com ... capped his prep career by leading the Bulldogs to a 30-5 overall record and 18-0 mark in league play as a senior, averaging 16.0 points and 3.1 steals per game ... was a two-time all-state selection ... named District 6-4A MVP, the third straight year he earned all-district honors ... also named to the first team of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Super Team after earning second-team honors as a junior ... participated in the BallisLife High School All-American Game in Fullerton, Calif. ... averaged 14.3 points and 2.8 steals per game as a junior in 2011, and recorded a team-high 18 dunks ... coached at Trimble Tech by Wendell Ivory ... played for the Texas Assault on the AAU circuit .... also recruited by Boston College, DePaul, Penn State, Providence and San Diego State and St. John's.
