POST-GAME QUOTES
Baylor 91, TCU 58
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum
Fort Worth, Texas

TCU head coach Trent Johnson
Opening statement:

“Baylor shot it well. We have played our hearts out these last few games and tonight’s game was just pitiful. The pride factor started to show up. We have to deal with the hand that we've been dealt. We have to learn to keep pushing and trying our hardest.”

On finding a way to win when the chips are stacked against you:
“It’s hard to do. Bottom line is Baylor is a lot better then we are. A lot of teams are better, but we are still a good team. This is just the hand we’ve been dealt. We still have to compete. We competed a lot harder the last four games then I saw tonight on the court."

TCU junior guard Kyan Anderson
On keeping focus on the team and keeping the right mind set
“It starts with me, especially at the point guard position. If I’m not doing my part, then that trickles down and affects the team, so that means I have to be better.”

Baylor senior guard Brady Heslip
On his performance tonight:
“It was good. After the last road game we just came back and regrouped. We have eight games left and we’re just going to try and make history. So tonight was the first step of it. We started a one game win streak. Everybody played really well, everybody played together, we executed, we played tough defense, we rebounded and we need to bring that total effort in every game now.”

Baylor sophomore center Isaiah Austin
On the team’s defensive effort:
“We just tried to stay active in the paint. Our guards are flying around and they got beat sometimes. We just want to be that secondary line of defense for them. We got their backs just like they’ve got ours.”
